45-Hour Broker Qualifying Course in New York

Please read the following important course information prior to registering for this course. |
|
The fee for this course is $395 for members and $420 for non-members. |
|
Included in the course fee is the required textbook and student outline. |
|
If course registration is cancelled more than two weeks prior to course start date, a $35 administrative fee is charged; if course registration is cancelled less than two weeks prior to course start date, a $100 fee is charged; a no-show fee will forfeit entire tuition. |
|
The Orange County Association of Realtors® offers textbooks and other exam prep materials which may be purchased at our offices during business hours. |
|
This course is comprised of separate modules; in order to successfully complete this course, you may miss a 1/2 day of one class. Proof of your attendance is your signature at the beginning and end of each module. |
|
At the end of the course you will sit for the 2 hour school exam. You will need a minimum grade of 70% on your exam to pass the course. |

OCAR Classroom School Policies |
|
Students must meet all the requirements of the 45 hour class to be eligible to take the school exam. |
|
Only one session (each session consists of either an evening or an AM or a PM session) can be missed. |
|
If you are more than 10 minutes late, you will not receive credit for that entire session. |
|
If more than one session is missed, those sessions must be made up before you are eligible to take the school exam. |
There will be a charge to make up missed sessions:
| - Up to 3 sessions |
- $50.00 |
| - 4 or more sessions |
- $100.00 |
Sessions can be made up during the next scheduled class.

|
Students must sign in and out on provided sheets to receive credit for class session. |
|
Students arriving more than 10 minutes late will not be permitted to sign in and will not receive credit for that session. |
|

The Orange County Association of Realtors® is required to report successful course completions to the state of NY prior to the student sitting for the NY state exam. |
| The exam for this course is 2-hour proctored exam which will be administered on the last day of the course. |
| Students have a total of two (2) separate attempts to pass the school’s final exam; students who do not pass the school exam a second time will be required to pay for and complete the entire course again should they wish to continue. |

Students will be required to bring a government issued picture ID to the proctored exam site.

| Visit the Department of State website for the New York state scheduling and exam information. |
|
| Breaks are given by the instructor; students are not permitted to leave the building for cigarette breaks, phone calls, etc., during instruction time. |
| Students must use side parking lot and are not permitted to park in front of the building. |
|
Any Food or beverage that is brought into the classroom must be disposed of properly. |
|
