Title:  Municipal Tax Foreclosure Auctions in New York State
Description:  New York State Real Property Tax Law Article 11 provides a mechanism for municipalities to foreclose on delinquent real property taxes, extinguish 99.9% of the liens, acquire title and sell the deed to the highest bidder. How does one buy occupied property sight unseen? Interested in the hidden value of ‘land-locked’ property? What does N.O.H mean? Auctioneer-Instructor Frank Pietrzak and the NYSAuctions.com Team have successfully returned over 18,000 properties back to the tax-paying rolls. You will learn the details of the entire process from a pro – the municipal foreclosure steps, conducting due diligence on prospective purchases and how to position yourself as a knowledgeable real estate professional when representing your clients as a buyer’s broker at the auction. You may find these opportunities to be so good that you may decide to become an investor or purchaser yourself. Just for fun, we’ll do a practice round of bidding.
