Not everyone that sells real estate is a REALTOR®. The term REALTOR® is a registered and protected trademark. REALTORS are held to a higher standard; the Code of Ethics .

To apply for your New York State real estate license, you must complete the required course time and pass the school exam. You will need to schedule yourself to take the New York State exam and have a sponsoring broker.

Education - As a member of the Orange County Association of REALTORS®, your membership fee includes FREE admission to all of our sponsored courses as well as a $50 discount on OCAR hosted courses; these are courses given by affiliated organizations and held at our classroom.
Member Services Center – Located at the Association office and open Monday through Friday from 9:30am to 4:30pm. Items available to members include numerous selling aids, operation and resource materials and special products to assist you in your daily working environment. You may also purchase products on our website at our Realtor Store.
General Membership Meetings, Awards Dinners and Conventions - These events will provide you with a wealth of information as well a great venue for networking opportunities.
Community Support – We are not only a trade association; we are an integral part of the business and residential community.
